W.B 13.11

Date: 12th Nov 2017 @ 7:03pm

Good evening all,

Looking back at last week, I want to commend all the children on their performance during our remembrance service at St. Oswalds. They led the school in a very poignant service with confidence and enthusiasm.

This week we are contuning to look at portal stories within English and expanding our sentence structures and language through these story types. In maths, we are completing our learning about perimeter. This will contain learning about perimeter of squares and rectangles and how we can use our times table knowledge to help with this.

In topic this week we will be learning about Mary Tudor or as she was more commonly known Bloody Mary. We will look at her early life and her main aims as the Queen of England.

In science we will be exploring our school and thinking about our homes to identify the electrical appliances we own and how they are powered (mains or battery).

It is also anti-bullying week this week around the county. I will be spending part of our afternoons in the classroom discussing with the children how bulllying affects people of all ages and tackle different aspects of bullying and how they can make the right choices with regards to other children in our school.

I look forward to seeing you this week.
