Year 2 23rd April 2020

Date: 23rd Apr 2020 @ 9:20am

Good morning, I hope you and your families are staying safe and well.

I know that we're in very uncertain times at the moment and that everyone is dealing with different circumstances at home. I have my three children at home with me so we're juggling school work and working from home while trying to find a good balance between work and play. We tend to tackle school work in the morning and the afternoons are more relaxed.

I hope you have all been able to access the home learning on the website. I know that some of your have purchased the next Power Maths 2c Practice Book. That's great if you want to work through this. I'll continue to set work from White Rose that will consolidate earlier concepts that were taught earlier in the year. BBC Bitesize are now doing daily lessons and the government have created an online school, The Oak National Academy. There are online lessons with quizzes and tasks to complete. These have been quite popular in my house as they can sit at the computer to complete them. Here are the links for those websites.

It's great to hear about and see the work you've been doing at home. You can send me a message on Dojo with photographs of what your child has been doing. I've found it can be good motivation as my children want me to take a picture of their work to send to their teacher! I'd also love to hear if you have learnt a new skill or started new hobbies.

Don't forget the CDAT rock battle on TT Rockstars this week. It's great to see some Year 2s have been getting involved. There are just two days left so lets see if we can have a few more names from our class appearing in the top 50! Log on at 11:30 and play for 30 minutes on any game to earn points towards our total.

Please remember we are here if you need advice or support.
