Spelling rules
This week we have focused on spellings with ce, ci and cy; the c is made by a soft /s/ sound, like ‘city.’
Maths and English
Our focus in Maths was arithmetic, specifically looking at calculating with the four operations. Everyone has done fantastically this week.
In English we analysed the story of ‘a River’ and then went on to plan our own circular story!
In RE we listened to the story of Jesus’ baptism and then sequenced the story; in Science we investigated which material would be the best for the three bears’ curtains!
We have also enjoyed practising for our class assembly. Please learn the lines off by heart ready for the class assembly on Friday 10th May. Thank you for your support.
