Year 5/6 Football

Last half term we took part in the Holmes Chapel Cluster Football League and thanks to the number of children wanting to play in the competition, we were able to enter both an A Team and B Team. 

For many of our B Team, it was their first time playing in a tournament so it was great experience for the boys. Miss Goff commented on their super sportsmanship and the effort they all put into their matches. I am also pleased that this has sparked their enthusiasm as they are now keener than ever to play again! 

Our A team made it to the finals on Wednesday 21st October. Despite being two players down, meaning we had no subs, the team never gave up and played their best in each and every match. 

Well done to everyone who has represented Brereton in the football this half term. Watch this space as we are in the process of organising some friendlies with local schools to give the children more opportunities to play in a competitive environment.
