All parents of children at Brereton C of E A Primary School are automatically members of the PTA. Everyone is very welcome to join the PTA and new ideas are always welcome. Our PTA work tirelessly to help provide the extras for the children that our school budget cannot.

Most recently the PTA have worked very closely with our School Council supporting and raising funds for the Playground Project. I am very pleased to say that we now have a wonderful outdoor learning area. This area now comprises of a newly constructed pond with access for everyone. This area can be used as part of the curriculum to learn Life Cycles. Also the Outdoor Classroom and Log Cabin has been built and have already been used for lessons and learning. To enhance playtimes OXO’s have been sited each side of a Bubble Wall.

We are planning and Open Evening to thank everyone who has contributed to this project. Without their contribution the children of our school would not be as well equiped as they are.

SAT’s Week

Year 6 will be taking their Key Stage SAT’s during the week beginning 12 May 2008. Also Years 3, 4 and 5 will be taking their optional SAT’s during this week.

Key Stage 1 SAT’s will take place between16th June and 27 June 2008.

Please ensure that your child attends school during this important time. Thank you

Wild West Night 12 July 2008

On Saturday 12 July 2008 the Brereton PTA are holding a Wild West Night at Spring Bank Farm, Arclid, near Sandbach.

The start time of 8 o’clock will see the fun begin. Come along and join us. Fancy dress is optional. Try your luck on the Bucking Bronco.

A bar is available together with Snakeye Pie and peas. Tickets are priced at £15 each and can be purchased from the school office or members of the PTA.

We would like to thank everyone associated with Brereton C of E A Primary School who have helped us over the past couple of terms. We have been very busy in school working towards achieving three quality marks. We have heard over the past two weeks that Brereton has been successful in achieving the Healthy Schools Award, the Active Mark and the Inclusion Quality Mark. We would like to thank all our pupils, staff, parents and friends who have helped us to achieve these awards. These awards provide a means of recognition of the great things which are happening here at Brereton.

Garden Party - 5 July 2008

The Annual Garden party will be held on Satruday 5 July 2008. On this day our new Rose Queen, Miss Emily Proudlove will be crowned for the forth coming year. Many other local Queens and Maids are invited to attend with their retinue. We hope the weather iskind to us on the day and invite you to join us to watch the May Pole Dancing and Country Dancing. Refreshments will be on sale together with cake stalls, a raffle, tombola and many other attractions. Come along and ejoy yourself and help support our local church.
