I started at Brereton back in 2013 and I have the privilege of leading this wonderful school. Brereton is an incredibly special school within an active community. The dedication of the staff, the support of the parents and the enthusiasm of the pupils is truly inspirational. I love spending time in the classroom and sharing in the children’s learning. My favourite subjects are English, History and D&T but I enjoy teaching all subjects and all year groups. Outside of school I enjoy walking my dogs, spending time with my family, reading and trying to go to the gym!
Mrs Natasha Wood - Year Five Teacher / Deputy Headteacher
I joined Brereton in September 2014 and enjoy working alongside such friendly staff. I enjoy my job, working with all the children and especially enjoy teaching in Year 5 and 6. Outside school I have a young son who keeps me very busy and we enjoy family days out to the beach or countryside.
Mr Tim Collier - Year Six Teacher
I have taught at Brereton since April 2001. I enjoy teaching Years 5 and 6 because the pupils here are keen to learn and they achieve high standards. I always look forward to Summer Show performances and especially taking Year 6 to Pensarn Harbour before Easter. The staff are a kind, hardworking and supportive team of colleagues and friends. I enjoy taking part in plays and musical theatre in and around Manchester.
I am currently trying to learn French at home - and in France. I did get an O level in it (a long time ago) although it's amazing what vocabulary you can remember when you are in a French ironmonger's with a non-English speaking Frenchman behind the counter.
After working at Brereton for over four years now, I feel it is a total privilege to be part of such a wonderful team. I absolutely love being the Reception teacher and working with the Early Years team to prepare the children for school life. Outside school I like to spend my time walking my dog, baking and being creative.
Mr McAulay- Year Four Teacher
My name is Mr McAulay and I am the Year 4 class teacher. I love my job, as I like to inspire a love of learning for life. I enjoy teaching all areas of the curriculum, but particularly enjoy teaching English and PE. This year I am looking forward to the many sporting events that we have planned in my role as Sports coordinator, as I feel sport is a great way to foster teamwork and healthy competition.
Mrs Fiona Pullé - Year 1 teacher
I have very much enjoyed working at Brereton for over 15 years and I am delighted to be back in KS1. I love education and relish teaching in a school which embodies Christian values and celebrates how children grow emotionally and spiritually as well as academically. I am interested in the different ways children learn and endeavour to plan creatively using art, drama and storytelling wherever possible.
I have been at Brereton since January 2014 and love being part of such a supportive team. I am the Year 2 teacher and also the History and PSHE coordinator. My favourite subjects are English, Art and History. Outside of school I have three children who keep me very busy and entertained!
I get to work across the school and I love being a part of the whole school community. My particular subject interests are Science, Maths and History, but I am also an avid reader and love reading with my classes. At home I am at my happiest digging in the garden listening to Test Match Special on the radio, but I also enjoy eating out and watching Manchester City.
I am the supervisor at Brereton Preschool and I spend one afternoon a week in the Reception class covering Miss Wellings.
I am the teaching assistant for Reception and I love working in such a wonderful classroom. It's an amazing thing being able support the children from their very first day at school and I feel very lucky to work with such a lovely group of people.
Mrs Amanda Easton - Teaching Assistant
I began working at Brereton in 2012 providing one to one support. Since then I have trained to deliver individual reading programmes. I work with children throughout the school on reading. I also work with Key Stage Two teachers to provide phonics and guided reading sessions. I teach social stories and provide classroom support in Years Five and Six. When I am at home I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, cooking and digging in the garden!
Mrs Paula Taylor - Higher Level Teaching Assistant
I have worked at Brereton for many years. I work on a one to one basis, with groups or whole classes from Reception through to Year Six. I teach PSCHE, ICT, French and Music. I lead our amazing choir. Brereton is my second home and family. In my spare time (limited with three children!) I enjoy making and decorating celebration cakes.
I lead our Outdoor Learning and I love working with each class, teaching them new skills and developing their confidence and resilience.
I support the pupils at lunchtime and deliver interventions to upper KS2 in the afternoons.
