Headteacher
Mrs McLean
I started at Brereton back in 2013 and I have the privilege of leading this wonderful school. Brereton is an incredibly special school within an active community. The dedication of the staff, the support of the parents and the enthusiasm of the pupils is truly inspirational. I love spending time in the classroom and sharing in the children’s learning. My favourite subjects are English, History and D&T but I enjoy teaching all subjects and all year groups. Outside of school I enjoy walking my dogs, spending time with my family, reading and trying to go to the gym!
Deputy Headteacher
Mrs Wood
Mrs Natasha Wood - Year Five Teacher / Deputy Headteacher
I joined Brereton in September 2014 and enjoy working alongside such friendly staff. I enjoy my job, working with all the children and especially enjoy teaching in Year 5 and 6. Outside school I have a young son who keeps me very busy and we enjoy family days out to the beach or countryside.
Teachers
Mr Collier
Mr Tim Collier - Year Six Teacher
I have taught at Brereton since April 2001. I enjoy teaching Years 5 and 6 because the pupils here are keen to learn and they achieve high standards. I always look forward to Summer Show performances and especially taking Year 6 to Pensarn Harbour before Easter. The staff are a kind, hardworking and supportive team of colleagues and friends. I enjoy taking part in plays and musical theatre in and around Manchester.
I am currently trying to learn French at home - and in France. I did get an O level in it (a long time ago) although it's amazing what vocabulary you can remember when you are in a French ironmonger's with a non-English speaking Frenchman behind the counter.
Miss Wellings
After working at Brereton for over four years now, I feel it is a total privilege to be part of such a wonderful team. I absolutely love being the Reception teacher and working with the Early Years team to prepare the children for school life. Outside school I like to spend my time walking my dog, baking and being creative.
