Katrina Hart visits Brereton!

Lesson: Physical education

On Wednesday 22nd June we were visited by Paralympian Katrina Hart who is a 100m sprinter for GB. Throughout the afternoon, each class took part in a circuit of 4 exercises which the children are collecting sponsor money for. At the end of the day, Katrina talked to the children about her career as an athlete. She talked to the children about following their dreams, trying hard and not giving up. Interestingly we found out what it was like in the Olympic village for the athletes as we saw pictures of what their rooms looked like, and the HUGE food hall which is available to them 24 hours a day! Following this, there was a question and answer session with Katrina.

Sponsor money for this event is due in on Wednesday 29th June. The school will be sent the prizes once all the money has been received. As soon as we receive them, they will be awarded to the children.
