Trip to Trentham Gardens

Class: Reception Year: 2014 - 2015

Reception Trip to Trentham Gardens ~ Thursday 21st May

We have had a super day out at the Trentham Estate today.  Luckily, we were blessed with wonderful weather!

On arriving in the gardens we were met by Christian who showed us how to use branches, bark and leaves to make dens for our teddy bears.  He was very impressed with the variety of our designs!

After a busy morning den building we enjoyed a picnic lunch before having a quick play on the fabulous play equipment.

Next, it was time to roll up our trousers and get muddy on the Barefoot Walk.  I think the mud river was a definite favourite!

Before boarding the bus home we popped in to 'Noah's Ark' to build a new class bear.  We also made one for Darel and Christine to take back to St Lawanga for their Reception class.

All children (and bears!) arrived back at school shortly after 3, weary, muddy but full of smiles and stories to share.

Well done to all of the children for their excellent behaviour throughout the day.  It really was an absolute pleasure to take you all!

Also a big thank you to our parent and teacher helpers!
