End of Summer 1

Hi all

It is hard to imagine that we only have one more half-term in year 5. 

In English, the pupils have worked hard to produce a dilemma story (loosely based on King Kong) as well as a balanced argument about the befits and disadvantages of having gorillas in zoos.

In Maths, our focus has shifted to geometry and more recently decimals.

In PE, we have been learning about different track and field events in preparation for sports day.

 In Science, we have studying chemical and physical changes to materials and gained an understanding of changes that are reversible and irreversible. while in RE we have continued to study Pentecost and read in Acts about how the disciples were influenced by the Holy Spirit.

In addition, we have been learning how to keep safe on the internet , have continued to learn new notes and songs in music and we  and compared  two  Spaghetti Bolognese ( one  meat and one vegetarian)!
