Year 2 Chester Zoo Visit

Date: 25th Nov 2022 @ 1:44pm

On Tuesday, we were very fortunate and excited to go on a whole school visit to Chester Zoo. What a fantastic time we had, with great weather too! Children were very polite and engaged and were so eager to share what they already knew about habitats and animals.

In the morning, we were very excited to see the monkeys, white rhinos and bats. We were so brave when adventuring into the bat cave as it was very dark and we could hear the bats sneakily swishing past our heads! In the afternoon after a quick lunch stop, we went to see the flamingos, penguins and giant otters on the way to the aquarium. After this, we went to the realm of the Red Ape to see my favourite animal, the organgutan! After lots and lots of walking, we saw the elephants, butterflies and finally the lovely elephants and made our way back to the coach.

We all had a fantastic day and the children were a pleasure to take around the zoo.

I am very much looking forward to seeing you all at the Christmas fair tonight.
