Year 3 blog 29th September

Date: 29th Sep 2023 @ 3:42pm

What a busy week we’ve had in Year 3!

In maths, we have been continuing our lessons on place value within 1,000.  We have ordered numbers in ascending and descending order and estimating their place on a number line.

In English, we planned a vivid setting description linked to our focus text ‘Rhythm of the Rain’ we had to engage all our senses and use the best adjectives to describe what we could see, hear and smell.

Forest school was such fun this week, we focused on our school value of community and helped each other find lots of equipment we could use to build dens.

In RE, we learnt how other faiths and nations celebrate Harvest.  We learnt about the Jewish festival of Sukkot and had great fun buiding sukkahs.

In Science we had such fun experimenting with magnets, while in PE we worked on passing and footwork in netball! It has been wonderful to see the progress so far! In History, we continued to learn about the industrial revolution!

In Music, we enjoyed playing different notes and then we played along with a backing track!
