Viking "POO"

Class: Year 4 Year: 2017 - 2018

This afternoon, year 4 have been introduced to our new topic - The Vikings. We discovered where Vikings originated and how the name Viking was coined to these Scadinavian traders and settlers. In addition to this, we discovered the type of food they would eat and compared it to the Tudors and Romans. However, It's quite hard to ask a Viking about their food. Luckily, we found that an archaeologist had retrieved some "samples" from each of these time periods and allowed us to dissect them. 

We found a variety of foods including fish bones, lentils, seeds, pips and stones surprisingly. Here we are getting stuck in after a few minutes getting over the initial disgust and thoughts of being sick.
