Year 5 End of first half term/
Date: 21st Oct 2022 @ 4:31pm
Well done to everyone on a fantastic start to Year 5.
This half term we have enjoyed: visits to The Slavery Museum in Liverpool, Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School (Singfest rehearsal), Chester Cathedral (Pilgrims’ day), St Oswald's Church and of course all our usual work in school. We have been very busy!
We have worked hard in English and I look forward to seeing the writing you will create next half term.
In Maths, we will focus on Multiplication and Division as well as fractions so Times Tables knowledge is imperative. We are challenging all the our Ks2 Classes in TT Rockstars over half term so please remind your child to play on it.
We will be moving on to Geography after the holidays, looking the physical, human and environmental geography of North America.
PE will remain on Thursday afternoon.
We will begin to having our forest school session on a Friday morning so please bring appropriate clothing.
A reminder that we have our Chester Zoo trip on 22nd November and theatre on the 5th December which we are very much looking forward to!
It was lovely to catch up with everyone during parent consultations and share all the children's achievements. If anyone did not get an appointment, please let us know and we can arrange one for the first week back.
If you have any questions, please message on Dojo.
Have a wonderful, restful half term!
Mr Lindblad and Mrs Field
