I can't believe it's almost half term!
We have been so busy again this week.
On Monday we made a scarecrow and creatures we might find in the Whispering Woods with Mr Simmons.
We continued the theme in our writing by composing our own instruction manuals for couriers delivering in this hazardous area. It has been fun looking at the difference between formal and informal language.
We have started our unit on multiplication and division in maths and started to look at formal methods of division.
In RE we wrote letters to the charity Toybox telling them about our learning in school.
We have also been completing some artwork ready to use with a visiting artist next Monday.
I can see that all the children are almost ready for half term and they have all worked incredibly hard so I won't be setting any homework next week. However, I will send home some optional science experiments children can complete at home over half term if they wish. These will be taken from one of the books we have been looking at in class to help us with our instruction writing. Please do e-mail any photographs of children completing these experiments. I'd love to see them.
I look forward to speaking to you all during consultations next week.
