York Day 1

We have had a great first day in York!  

On arriving, we quickly headed into the city to visit the Dig.  There we met a Viking who explained that Vikings often used tools to defend themselves or attack others.  Only the wealthiest would have a sword as they were the equivalent of a Lamborghini or Maserati in today's world!

After a spot of lunch, we tried our hands at being archaeologists, uncovering bones, pottery and much, much more. 

Our final activity of day was a trip to Jorvik Centre where we travelled around the Viking village.  We also saw the world biggest fossilised poo!  Did you know King Charles has even held it?!

We finished our day with a delicious day followed by a play on the park.  We are certainly ready for a good nights sleep!
