York Day 3
Class: Year 4 Year: 2016 - 2017
Firstly, I would like to express how amazing all the children were on their time away this week. They were a credit to the school, staff and their families. All of the venues we have visited commended the children on their behaviour and manners. In particular, the Racecourse centre commented on how polite the children were around the site and at meal times.
Secondly, a big thank you from all the staff. The children have given us a lot of laughs this week and made the trip a joy to be part of. They were respectful and a delight to take away.
All through the trip the children have asked insightful questions and shown off their knowledge when required. They have been inquisitive and shown an eagerness to learn. The quote of our trip came from Roye who managed to sum up the visit in one sentence:
"We've done lots of walking which is good exercise and when we got to places we learned lots."
On the last day in York, the children visited the Minster. They were given a guided tour and taught about the history of the sight and York as a whole stretching from Roman times through the Vikings to present day.
